The tarot deck holds 78 cards: the 22 Major Arcana, which mark the larger turning points and themes of a reading, and 56 Minor Arcana split into four suits — Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles — that speak to daily choices, feelings, conflicts and practical matters.
